Who we are

Ottimomassimo is a bookshop for children, boys and girls, managed by three booksellers, three partners, three friends, who have worked together for many years.

Our philosophy is that the reader is more important than the book; helping a reader find what they need to form their critical thinking is our mission.

We have to talk to him, discuss and convince his reference adults; for this reason we must read many books, know many stories, so that each one finds the right reader.

We are social

Here are our most recent Instagram posts, follow us on Facebook too!

We like it:

Driving around in a van through the sunny streets of Italy to take books where they haven't gone before.

Open a library in a bookshop and lend books as well as sell them, go to Lampedusa to bring books to the border.

Using everything we know to invent readings and workshops.

Open the library to the creation of a community that reasons and elaborates thoughts on literature for boys and girls.

At work we love to bond with and support those who are kind, those who are true, those who work with all their energy to make the world a better place.

Stable Library

We are waiting for you! You can find us in Rome, in via Luciano Manara 16/17
or in the temporary store in via Rimini 9.

Enjoy the reading!

Ottimomassimo is an independent bookshop, it will always be more ecological,
sustainable and responsible. We have made and will certainly make many mistakes in the future too, we hope you still want to follow us and support us!

Good advice

Do you need advice tailored to you? Ask us!

To do this best we need to know who you are and what you like. We will reply to you with a small tailor-made bibliography with suggestions for the readings or further information you need for the boys and girls you read with; it will be a bit like coming to the bookshop!
