Perhaps he would have moved his tail and vibrated his mustache to the sound of percussion, perhaps his "famous acrobatics" would have dominated the theater scene. Perhaps all the confusion would have annoyed him (he is of a certain age).
He would certainly have earned the love of every child present, with whom he knows he shares many qualities: having brilliant ideas, for example. And then being champion runners on all fours, vomiting when you eat too much grass, screaming at the top of your lungs when you're hungry and taking naps in the strangest places, especially if you gorge yourself on food.
